Every award show has its fair share of snubs, and that includes the recently deceased stars who didn’t make it into the “In Memoriam” segment.
At the 2016 Emmys, Christina Grimmie‘s fans noticed the late singer was not featured in the emotional tribute, which honored stars from the television screen to the worlds of sports and music.
Fans flocked to Twitter to make their disappointment known in regard to The Voice star not being mentioned among the legendary stars who passed away this year, including Gene Wilder, Garry Marshall, Muhammad Ali, Garry Shandling, Doris Roberts, and more.

Because The Voice earned a trophy for Best Reality Competition Show, fans were especially upset over Grimmie’s absence — but this isn’t the first time the 22-year-old has been left out of an award show since her tragic slaying this June.
In August, fans were upset that the singer wasn’t mentioned at this year’s Teen Choice Awards, and even started a petition for Fox to formally apologize to her family for “disrespecting” the late star.
Do YOU think Grimmie’s fans have a right to be upset over her absence at the Emmys In Memoriam segment?
