These beauty lawsuits keep on coming!
EOS lip balms have been promoted by some of the biggest stars in the world, including Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian, but a new lawsuit alleges they have been causing adverse allergic reactions for many users.

Customers have reported redness, rashes, blistering, and extreme dryness after use.
A class-action lawsuit has been filed by renowned lawyer Mark Geragos representing several women, including Rachel Cronin.
The lawsuit states:
“Within hours [of applying EOS lip balm], [Rachel Cronin’s] lips became substantially dry and coarse, what Ms. Cronin describes as feeling like “sandpaper,” causing her to apply more of the balm on her lip to achieve the results of becoming “sensationally smooth.” Ms. Cronin’s lips did not become smooth, and began severely cracking on the edges causing flaking and bleeding from the cracks. Ms. Cronin was in severe shock and panic. [Her] condition consisted for approximately 10 days.”

The plaintiffs are seeking damages and for the company to add clear warnings on the product packaging and in advertisements.
Moreover, a blogger wrote about this same issue back in October 2012 and posted a photo of her irritated, red, and blistered lips after using EOS lip balms.
So just like WEN hair care products, it appears EOS have also been causing users problems long before any lawsuits were filed.
A spokesperson for the company said:
“We firmly believe this lawsuit is without merit. Our products are made with the highest quality ingredients and meet or exceed all safety and quality standards set out by our industry and validated by rigorous testing conducted by an independent lab. The health and well-being of our customers is our top priority and millions of satisfied customers use our products every day, many of whom take the time to share their experiences with us.”
