Chicago-area concert-goers are a little less than happy today after Erykah Badu reportedly defended R. Kelly at length during a show in the Windy City on Saturday night.
According to attendees in the theater at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Badu reportedly criticized the outcry against R. Kelly following Surviving R. Kelly, and repeatedly asked the audience open-ended questions about the revelations.

According to one concert-goer, Badu said at one point (below):
“What if one of the people who was assaulted by R Kelly becomes an offender? We gonna crucify them too?”
Another one claimed that the told the crowd at one point to “keep [their] opinion to [themselves]”.
Hmmm…

Uh-oh…
This comes a couple days after Badu posted a particularly cryptic comment to her own Instagram page along with a pic of herself (below):
In light of this controversy, maybe that comment now makes a little more sense?
Regardless, Twitter is letting her HAVE IT right now (below):
Let’s not forget Erykah Badu was all for victim blaming young girls for grown men not being able to control their fucking eyes. I see exactly why she sides with R Kelly. She been let us knew her thoughts ???? pic.twitter.com/UjLGhJDj7A

Erykah Badu saying she still loves R Kelly doesn’t shock me. This is the same woman who saw “something good in Hitler”…. ☠️
