Don’t act like you don’t remember the name! Thousands of Bieber-lovin’ hearts were crushed when they saw her walk away with the Grammys last month instead of their man.
Or maybe not.
In the days following the Grammys, we were prepared to hear the worst haterade against Esperanza Spaulding for winning Best New Artist over Justin Bieber. However, according to Esperanza, she never got a taste of the Bieblievers wrath. When asked by the ladies of The View if she had seen or heard the backlash from Bieber’s fans after the awards, she explained:
“I didn’t. We went to Japan and I heard about it from friends, I didn’t see it or hear it. There was so much other stuff going on at the Grammys. Justin Bieber and I weren’t the only ones there.”
No, that’s true, you weren’t, but for tweens everywhere, you were certainly the most important ones.
As long as you walked away unscathed from the experience, you should consider yourself lucky.
Just ask Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus….
