Hugh Douglas and his fellow ESPN analyst Michael Smith are known to get into arguments from time to time on their show Numbers Never Lie.
In fact, that’s basically what they get paid to do!
But apparently things got a little too heated between the two of them off camera and it ended up costing Hugh his job!
The pair of co-hosts were at the National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Orlando last week when they got into a big argument! The two exchanged words and things hit a tipping point when Hugh threw out a couple of racial slurs in Michael’s direction!
ESPN heard about the ugly confrontation and decided to part ways with the former Philadelphia Eagle for good! Hugh took to Twitter to announce the news and wrote:
I am very disappointed to be leaving ESPN and will have more to say about this situation and my future at the appropriate time

Wow! It sounds like someone didn’t learn their lesson from wide receiver Riley Cooper, who found himself in a bit of hot water after he used the “N” word in a video that went viral!
The sports world is so diverse and filled with so many cultures that it’s shocking to hear people using such derogatory language against each other.
All we can do is hope that will change for the better soon.
