The world’s largest online retailer of contacts and eyeglasses Coastal Contacts reveals that their Sarah Palin 8001 specs have been the top selling design for the past year.
People actually want to look like her? We’re guessing it’s her fellow hockey moms.
Sexy Sarah’s glasses were originally created and designed by Japanese designer Kazuo Kawasaki and it wasn’t too long after people saw her mug all across the media that people were dying to get a pair too.
Coastal Contacts Communications Manager, Jennifer Harvey says:
“Sarah Palin, whether you love her or hate her, has become a style icon in the area of eyeglasses. Women from all over the world began searching out ‘The Sarah’ frame after seeing her wear the design during her campaign. The Sarah Palin rimless style conveys power and elegance, which is hard to do in one frame.”
