Oh no!
On Wednesday, it was reported that former NFL player Lawrence Phillips died in his prison cell after what appears to be a suicide.
According to reports, the American athlete was found unresponsive while staff conducted its routine security checks. Phillips was then transported to a hospital where he was declared as dead. His next of kin has since been notified.

In case you forgot, the controversial celeb was locked up on a 31 year sentence for a series of charges — including spousal abuse. However, he made headlines again after he was moved to solitary confinement in April after being suspected of killing his cellmate Damion Soward. In fact, he was recently charged with murder.
The late 40-year-old is best known for his time playing as a running back for the Rams, Dolphins, and 49ers.
Though Lawrence obviously wasn’t a saint, our thoughts are still with his family during this trying time. Stay tuned for more details as the case unfolds.
