Quick Tip from Perezitos.com’s Dr. Peter L. Richel, M.D., Chief of Pediatrics at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco:
“Stretch and Grow
Regular exercise should begin before you become pregnant. If not, start right away! You need to be in shape for labor and delivery. Everything in moderation, though. Begin slowly and make 30 minutes a day your goal. Swimming and walking are wonderful ways to stay in shape for delivery and beyond. Stretching is vital as well and can be accomplished through yoga.”
