Ezra Miller Shares #MeToo Experience From When He Was Underage

Ezra Miller me too producers

Ezra Miller has been dodging #MeToo experiences for quite some time.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald star opened up about one incident he says went down when he was underage.
Explaining that an unnamed director and producer tried to coerce him using the old wine and movie role offer method, the now 26-year-old recalled:

“They gave me wine and I was underage. They were like, ‘Hey, want to be in our movie about gay revolution?’ And I was like, ‘No, you guys are monsters.'”

Fortunately (unfortunately, really), Miller knew where the situation was headed because he, like most actors, was all too familiar with the industry’s despicable casting couch culture — which is why he now says it’s “amazing” to watch #MeToo shift the paradigm.

He continued:

“It’s a great f**kin’ age of being like, ‘You know what? That sh*t’s unacceptable,’ And it’s amazing for a lot of us to watch. ‘Cause, like, we all knew it was unacceptable when we f**king survived it. That’s what Hollywood is. I thought we all knew we were sex workers.”

One other thing the Justice League star is bent on saying “no” to? Gender conformity. When asked about his identifying as queer, Miller told the mag:

“Yeah, absolutely. Which is to say, I don’t identify. Like, f**k that. Queer just means no, I don’t do that. I don’t identify as a man. I don’t identify as a woman. I barely identify as a human.”

It’s 2018, people. The days of movie stars being hetero-identifying, low key sex workers are over!
