Mindy Cohn has been fighting for her life in private.
The Facts of Life alum recently dropped a bombshell on fans when she broke a month-long social media break to share troubling news: she’s secretly been battling cancer for a second time. Alongside a photo of herself giving the camera a thumbs up from her hospital bed, the 59-year-old wrote:
“have been off social media for awhile ‘ cuz i had to go kick cancer’s ass.”
Oh no! She continued:
“i did so with the extraordinary help of Providence Saint John’s hospital staff, especially my nurses Finja, Patty and Courtney and my hero, the phenomenal gastrointestinal oncology surgeon @antonbilchik …. thank you to my family especially my cherished @tarakarsian @johnwstewart @gregoryzarian who have been my advocates and always on the ready to help me when it’s ‘my turn’.”

The Palm Royale actress concluded on a high note expressing confidence in her “next adventure” after wrapping up her recovery:
“recouping for another couple of weeks and then ready for my next adventure. onwards! F**K Cancer!”

Poor Mindy! But what an amazing mindset she seems to have about it all!
Prior to her 2026 battle with the deadly disease, Mindy faced breast cancer in 2012. Within the next five years, she underwent radiation treatment, chemotherapy, and a double mastectomy. She told People in 2017:
“It kept spreading and coming back. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would. And then I’d wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn’t control any of this. I couldn’t fix it.”
Ultimately, she was declared cancer free.
While she didn’t reveal what type of cancer she’s battling this time around, we’re sending all the strength to help her kick it to the curb a second time as well!
