Talk about a crime family! Hey Bluths! Looks like you got some competish!
The Bogdanov of suburban Chicago is being accused of running an efficient shoplifting ring, where they reportedly stole from retail stores all the way from Maryland to Texas.
Branko, 58, his wife Lela, 52, and their daughter Julia, 34, allegedly stole thousands of items that sold on eBay through a middleman account, also known as a fence.
Well, looks like this fence has been HOPPED! We’re not sure if this metaphor applies but that’s justice for you!
Little did they know they were actually being trailed by the Feds. Apparently, over the past decade, they’ve stolen items with a combined retail value of $7.1 million that they then sold for $4.2 million through their eBay accounts.
Items from Barnes & Noble, Toys R Us, and Starbucks to name a few. Apparently, Lela used a carrying device underneath her dress to help with the thieving!
Crime doesn’t pay! Even with those fancy contraptions!
Well, they’ve been arrested, and since the Feds have had their eye on them, we’ll see how they can possibly defend themselves in court!
