Seems like for TLC, fat is in!
The network, recently in the spotlight for hosting the dysfunctional “loving-family” show, Jon & Kate Plus Eight, is taking a new approach with its programming.
Recently, TLC aired a special titled The 650-pound Virgin chronicling an obese man’s 450lb weight loss.
And, now, the network is at it again – this time with a whole series.
TLC has just ordered a six-episode series following the lives of a morbidly obese family.
The documentary show, tentatively titled One Big Happy Family, will consist of 30-minute episodes and chronicle the lives of a family from North Carolina – a 40-year-old man weighing 340lbs, his 35-year-old wife weighing almost 400lbs, and their teenage kids, a boy and a girl weighing 330 and 340 lbs.
The docu will tell each of the family member’s stories in first-person and deal a lot with the kids’ struggle.
Should be inneresting. What do U think, will U watch?
