In the most epic news today, Disney and Warner Bros. are currently working out the rights for Father Of The Bride 3!
The thrust of this sequel’s plot is that Matty has grown up and is getting married to a Navy SEAL’S son!
Wow, this trilogy is going to be awesome!
Of course, a “thunderstruck and speechless” Steve Martin‘s character is going to have issues with gay marriage! Could be a great chance to have some dialogue over this important issue!
Not only does Disney love this idea, but so do we!
Charles Shyer will write and direct, and Marc Klein and David Hoberman will produce!
According to a source, this new sequel with a new twist couldn’t have come at a better time:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós a timely idea. I told Charles I just hope it goes forward before gay stops trending├óΓé¼┬ª”
Okay, well, we’re not sure how “gay” could be labeled as trendy these days. That’s kind of a weird way to categorize sexuality…
…but we’re still excited for the movie to come out! We just hope this is not just an attempt to capitalize on a “trend.”
