FDA Approves Diabetes And Cholesterol Combo Pill

FDA Approves Diabetes And Cholesterol Combo Pill

Combo Diabetes Cholesterol Drug
For the first time, the FDA has approved a drug from Merck that promises to help those with both diabetes and high cholesterol!

The American Diabetes Association recommends all people with diabetes over 40 take a cholesterol-lowering drug, known as a statin. But Merck scientists say many as 4 million diabetes patients in the U.S. are not following that recommendation.

They recommend that because people with both high cholesterol and diabetes have a much higher risk for heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and other ailments.
And with 4 million people with type 2 diabetes not following the recommendation, this pill could potentially save a lot of lives.
Combine it with exercise for sure, to give that diabetes a one-two punch!
