The FDA issued a statement on Friday warning consumers to not take Slimming Beauty Bitter Orange diet pills, which falsely claim to be “100% herbal.”
FDA lab tests showed that the pills contain a dangerous stimulant called sibutramine, which can cause high blood pressure, stroke, or heart attack in some consumers.
The stimulant is not listed on the label, but can cause anxiety, nausea, heart palpitations, a racing heart, insomnia, and elevated blood pressure in users.
The lesson here? Try to avoid diet pills. While they might be helpful in some ways, there are more efficient and natural ways to lose weight.
