Woman's Life Saved By Poop Transplant!

We previously mentioned that a man in Nova Scotia performed a fecal enema on himself!
He did it to cure himself of the deadly bacteria C. difficile.
Well it’s worked again! Except this time it was a woman and it was in a hospital setting.
A 20-year-old woman was in a terrible car accident and was given antibiotics to prevent an infection.
But the antibiotics also killed most of the good bacteria in her colon.
So C. diff was able to grow free and almost kill her, causing her so much vomitting and diarrhea that she dropped down to 85 pounds!
So her mom donated a poop (gross) and they rammed it up her colon through a colonoscopy.
The donor deuce recolonized her colon with good bacteria and she was cured!
Scientists are working on a probiotic suppository to take the place of fecal transplants because they’re crazy gross.
At least she’s healthy again! Woo hoo, poo!
