Finally! Sean Hayes Admits He's Gay!

Just as the cover of the Advocate reads – it’s the interview you’ve waited 12 years to read!

Sean Hayes, best known for his iconic, flamboyant character Jack from Will & Grace, sat down with the mag to FINALLY discuss his homosexuality, a topic he has kept rather hush-hush about for a very long time.

In the interview, Sean expresses his discomfort with outwardly saying he’s gay, only because he believes it jeopardizes his chance at landing straight roles. He explains:

“When I play a gay character I want to be as believable as possible. And when I’m playing a straight character I also want to be as believable as possible. So the less that people know about my personal life, the more believable I can be as a character.”

No need to worry about that! Look at Neil Patrick Harris! If you are a good actor, you are good actor, no matter what part you play!

But truthfully, we’ll admit that he never pretended to be anything he wasn’t. It wasn’t like he was running around with every hot lady in Hollywood. But still- we knew, he knew, and now, he’s okay to say it, but he isn’t okay with it being the only identifiable aspect of his life. He says:

├óΓé¼┼ôI am who I am. I was never in, as they say. Never… Why would you go down that path with somebody who├óΓé¼Γäós done so much to contribute to the gay community? That was my beef about it. What more do you want me to do? Do you want me to stand on a float? And then what? It├óΓé¼Γäós never enough.”

Understandable, but still, we are happy to finally hear you speak the truth. It’s been a long time coming!
