Fire Fighters Now Able To Save Animals!

This is great news for pets and animals alike!
Boston fire fighters have just begun implementing the use of oxygen masks designed to comfortably fit animals!
Previously, masks designed for humans were too large or ill-fitting for animals, requiring the fire fighters to use mouth to mouth resuscitation.
Thanks to a donation by WellPet pet food company and the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, pets that have inhaled smoke during a fire now have the proper rescue treatment to help their lungs recover!
Masks are becoming more common, often being donated by animal groups and businesses, because firefighting budgets are dropping.
It’s a great addition to the equipment in the fire fighting field – pets have lungs too!
