The new Sonic the Hedgehog movie poster is here, and it’s leaving most fans feeling… well, terrified.
Paramount Pictures released a motion poster for the upcoming live-action big screen adaptation Sonic the Hedgehog on Monday via IGN‘s Twitter account. Fans immediately speed to social media to check out the first look at 2019 Sonic’s design — only to be disturbed by what they saw.

The poster didn’t feature the hedgehog they knew and loved, but a weirdly sexy humanoid creature with muscled calves and thighs:
The horror quickly turned into outrage, with many crying that big screen Sonic looked like a furry. One of these fans claimed to be a furry themselves, and even she was upset over the design. “That says a lot,” she purred on Twitter.
While some promised to hold their opinions until a trailer was released, the overwhelming majority agreed that Paramount’s Sonic has put unrealistic expectations on SEGA video game characters.

The film is set for a November 15, 2019 release, and will feature a mix of CGI animation and live-action characters. Sonic will be voiced by Parks and Rec alum Ben Schwartz.
