11 children have tragically been left without parents after a shocking act of violence.
Fitness influencer Gloria Zamora prioritized lifting up others with fitness and motivational content for her 161k Instagram followers. And she was finally taking steps to help herself — and reclaim her own life.
At home, she’d been struggling in an unsupported marriage with her second husband, Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga. But that was all coming to an end! During an episode of the HERizon podcast earlier this month, Gloria revealed that she was leaving her husband, whom she explained had been trying to dim her light. But sadly, she’s not getting another shot at life. Because he took that from her. And he didn’t just kill her — but the man she was having dinner with, too!

On Tuesday, NBC Los Angeles reported Gloria and her business partner Hector Garduno, a father of four, were wrapping up a business meeting over sushi in San Bernardino county when gunfire erupted in the parking lot.
And the man behind the gun? Her estranged husband.
WTF.
Fontana Police Department Officer Steve Reed told KABC that an off-duty San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officer happened to be driving by at that exact moment — and witnessed the shooting! The officer “made a U-turn at the light and got out of his vehicle and confronted the suspect.” The deputy, whose identity has not been revealed, shot and killed Lizarraga. Damn.
Reed explained what they’d been able to piece together after the shocking incident:
“There was a male and a female that were estranged; they were going through a divorce, that led to this. We don’t know how he knew where she was at, but apparently, she had been at the restaurant for approximately an hour prior to the shooting.”
Gloria and Hector were rushed to the hospital, but sadly both died of their wounds. Hector leaves behind four children, while Gloria leaves behind seven. Her daughter Jazlynne has since created a GoFundMe, where she confirmed the fitness influencer was “senselessly taken from” her and her six siblings by her “step dad [Thomas] in an act of unimaginable violence.” The grieving daughter wrote:
“She leaves behind 7 beautiful children, ages 8 to 24, who are now facing a future without our mother’s warmth, guidance, and unconditional love. My mom was more than just a mother — she was a light in her community. She uplifted and inspired countless women, reminding them of their worth, their strength, and their potential. She always said, ‘Women can do anything they set their minds to,’ and she lived those words every day. Her courage, kindness, and determination touched the lives of everyone who knew her.”
So incredibly tragic. And like she said, completely senseless.

Our hearts are with all seven of Gloria’s children and all her loved ones, as well as Hector’s, during this unimaginable time. May they both rest in peace.
