Here's What Fitness Xtina Is Trying

Christina Aguilera hasn’t been in the best shape lately, and she knows that. We’re sure she hears about it everywhere.
So it’s no surprise that she has her own fitness regiment and trainer, but what they have to say seems a little off to us.
Here’s what she’s trying to do according to her fitness instructor Tee Sorge:

“The trend in LA now is leaning towards a much healthier, curvier look, with toned, womanly shapes. Christina and I started training six years ago. When she first came to me she was very petite with a tiny frame. Now, she has the body of a woman and she├óΓé¼Γäós got muscle mass and curves.
“Christina works out with me three to five times a week for a minimum of 90 minutes a day. I do a 15-minute warm up on the treadmill or the bike and then weight circuits, which cover all body parts. Christina does boxing, kickboxing or jump rope to keep her heart rate up. The muscle group trained during each session needs at least 24-48 hrs to recover.
“Diet is just as, and if not more important than exercise. Christina is really good with food and has a personal chef. She’s a normal, healthy eater. She might have junk food sometimes and has her treat, likes chocolate, but she’s petite so she doesn’t have a huge appetite! She is a fairly big meat eater and also likes things like tinned tuna. It’s a brilliant option, because it’s healthy, quick and packed with protein. I advise eating a lot of proteins like eggs, beans, fish and meat.
“Now she├óΓé¼Γäós 30 years old and everything├óΓé¼Γäós pretty stable within her body because she put all the hard work in from her early twenties. Her muscles are receptive. She├óΓé¼Γäóll call me up and I will always fit her in. She has so much going on that she works really well being structured.├óΓé¼┬¥

Listen. Let’s get real for a second here.
We love that she’s not skinny as a rail, and we just want to see her happy and healthy. We’d be weirded out if she had kids and was still like she was a decade ago!
We’re not huge fans of people making fun of her lately either, because we know that almost everyone knows what it’s like to struggle with body image and weight! Just don’t try and tell us she’s been “training for six years” or that her eating habits result in a lack of a huge appetite because she’s still “petite,” because that’s just not the case anymore (and let’s not forget that’s contradicted right at the beginning anyway: “When she first came to me she was very petite with a tiny frame. Now, she has the body of a woman and she├óΓé¼Γäós got muscle mass and curves.”) — and it’s okay!!
So let us say it again: as long as she’s happy AND healthy, we couldn’t care less whether she’s the fittest on the block or not. She’s still got an INcredible voice!!
We just want to wish her the best on her fitness journey and hope she’s doing it for all the right reasons!
Good luck, gurl!
