Powerful Winds Injure Five On The Set Of Game Of Thrones

Thankfully, everyone is okay now.

On Monday, the set of Game Of Thrones was hit pretty hard by some forceful wins in Northern Ireland. The cast and crew were just about to sit down for their lunch break, when the the tent in which they were in began to sway and collapse into itself. That’s when the group got into real trouble. As one insider on set explains:

“It all happened so quickly. The floor started to come up, then the side rose up, the roof took off and beams starting falling down. … It was definitely a bit more drama than we were expecting. It was very sudden and there was mass panic. People had to crouch under tables to protect themselves. They thought they were going to die. The structure just wasn’t able to withstand the strong winds.”

Three men and one woman was rushed from the scene to a local hospital after sustaining injuries from the fallen tent. The four extras were later dismissed from the hospital and shuttled back home by production. No one was seriously hurt.

How frightening that must’ve been. Just listening to the story conjures up memories of the stage collapse over the summer. Scary.
