A Las Vegas high school dean named Eddie Garcia has sadly lost both his hands and both his feet to this terrifying bacteria, after becoming infecting in January — as well as causing his kidneys and lungs to shut down. So what caused this?
Out of NOWHERE, he passed out as he was walking to his kitchen to get a glass of water.
That’s it!
He was in a coma and needed dialysis to keep him alive when the doctors found the necrotizing faciitis! That’s when they made the unthinkable call: they administered medication to keep blood flowing to his core organs, but not to his hands and feet.
