We’ve all see the news about the flooding taking place in India and Pakistan and the people threatened by the rising water levels, but what about the animals?
The rising water is now threatening the Pabitora Sanctuary in Assam, India, which has the highest density of one-horned rhinos in the world! The water has forced the rhinos to move to higher ground outside of the sanctuary, where they are in a dangerous risk of being shot by poachers.
In the last decade, a recorded 50 rhinos have lost their lives to poachers. Currently, the authorities are doing all they can to protect the rhinos until they are able to safely return to their homes in the sanctuary.
Keep them safe! They deserve the same protection as the people displaced by the flooding!
