Food Addiction Acts Like Drug Addiction In The Brain

Cupcakes and cocaine aren’t so different, according to your brain.

A new study has found out why some people have a hard time maintaining a healthy weight — they├óΓé¼Γäóre addicted to food.

Said Ashley Gearhardt of Yale University:

“If certain foods are addictive, this may partially explain the difficulty people experience in achieving sustainable weight loss.”

The scientists in the study tested a group of women with milkshakes and found that the areas that activated in their brain were the same as those activated when someone is addicted to drugs.

Food can be dangerous. Eat in moderation.
