Check out the video (above) of X Factor contestant Leroy Bell caught in the act of lip syncing last night.
Following the incident, show representatives from Fox had the following to say:
“All survival songs are performed live, with just a backing track. For the group ensemble performance, the vocals are pre-recorded to allow acts to concentrate on preparing for their own live competitive performances on Wednesdays — this is also no different to what other competition shows do for ensemble performances.”
Sorry, but we’re not NEARLY as interested in the choreography as we are in the vocals. Whether or not other shows do the same thing, this definitely takes a lot of the magic away.
