If you listen carefully, you can hear Simpsons fans all over the country shouting “WOO HOO” in Homer-like fashion!
As it gets close to its 500th episode, Fox is starting to contemplate their next move for The Simpsons, and they’re thinking about giving the show its own channel!
According to Fox parent company News Corp.├óΓé¼Γäós Chief Operating Officer Chase Carey, they’ve had a “number of meetings” to figure out the best way to continue making $$$$ from The Simpsons, and a channel solely devoted to the show is being discussed as a possibility.
We could absolutely see where this would be popular with Simpsons fans, but why not expand their audience a bit and make it an all-Matt Groening channel?
If they did that, then we could also see Futurama episodes…and maybe some episodes of The Tracey Ullman Show as well! That IS where The Simpsons got their start, after all!
