Usually, Fox has to wait for the juggernaut known as American Idol to lift them to the top of the network heap.
Such is not the case these days!
Months before we are graced with Idol, Fox has taken the lead against all the other networks. In large part, the Yankees making a triumphant return to the World Series has a lot to do with it, but it isn’t the only factor helping Fox stay #1.
This season, the network seems to be in the lead with it’s primetime programming, holding strong with it’s popular scripted dramas, like Bones, putting So You Think You Can Dance into the fall line-up, and it’s new shows, Glee and The Cleveland Show.
If they can hold strong in the weeks between the World Series and the return of Idol, Fox may just win the honor of being the year-around broadcast leader.
Can they do it?
For their sake, hopefully the Yankees and the Phillies will play all seven games.
Couldn’t hurt!
