What a bunch of bullshizz.
Let’s set this straight: the LGBT community is not indoctrinating your kids to the “homosexual lifestyle.” You don’t become gay, you’re born gay and there is no problem with that what-so-ever. And that’s what we want kids to know — those who are confused and scared with their feelings can see that they’re accepted and that there is nothing wrong with the way they are, and hopefully those who aren’t gay can learn tolerance towards those who are!
But when you start adding up the reactions from Fox News commentators on California schools that would require public schools to teach students about the positive contributions of LGBT people, phrases they use like “shocking lesson plan” and calling it “propaganda” start to paint the picture that they’re not hiding their anti-LGBT agenda very well.
“In April, the network even invited the American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer to discuss whether Glee was a form of ‘product placement’ for homosexuality,” Maza writes.
This is all a rather stealthy form of gay bashing, he says. “By framing the debate in terms of concern about ‘indoctrination’ and parental rights, Fox is attempting to disguise its deep anti-LGBT bias as something more palatable to the general public,” he writes. “In reality, Fox’s ‘indoctrination’ focus feeds directly into the campaigns of some of the country’s most prominent and vile anti-LGBT groups, including Focus on the Family, the Traditional Values Coalition, the Family Research Council, and the American Family Association.”
We are so sick of people not treating those in the LGBT community as equals. The LGBT community is comprised of human beings who have the same exact capacity to love, be happy, and follow dreams as everyone else.
And it’s pretty terrible to use the power of your network to promote anti-equality, when there are many in the LGBT community that even want to watch you for the other republican views on other issues! You’re alienating potential republicans from your programming.
Shame!
