If you believe Fox News, at least.
The 24-hour news channel is speculating that the late Ronald Reagan could be taking the stage at the Republican National Convention on Thursday to endorse Mitt Romney for president!
The deceased president is one of a few possibilities for Fox since there is a “To Be Announced” speaker scheduled minutes before Romney will officially accept the party’s nomination to challenge Barack Obama for the presidency.
So how is a dead president going to give his endorsement? Via hologram, of course! As a Fox News anchor points out (above), “They can do it now with technology.”
We just want to point out that if EITHER political party did decide to utilize the same technology that allowed Tupac to perform at Coachella this past spring, the candidate would effectively be endorsing himself.
Since the brain of the 40th President of the United States no longer works (or the brain of any other dead person for that matter), Reagan can’t actually form his own opinion of Romney to give the speculated endorsement.
Nice try Fox, but a surprise speech from Clint Eastwood would be a little more reasonable.
