Guess we kind of knew he was a wild card after all that drama with the show’s writing staff!
Despite the fact that show creator Frank Darabont was present at the Walking Dead Comic-Con panel on Friday, we’re now hearing that he’s stepping down as showrunner of the series.
He MAY stay on the show in some way/shape/form, but it looks like that is still TBD.
We’re not 100% sure why he’s leaving the show, but we’ve heard it could be that he had trouble adjusting to the TV world after spending so much time on features.
Hopefully AMC is able to find a satisfactory replacement. We’d hate to think that the show could fall by the wayside without Frank. Season Two was looking pret-ty intense! (above)
