Oh REALLY??
While it might be true that they haven’t received Frank Ocean‘s heartfelt check quite yet, we suspect that the fact that it was made out for the exact amount they were looking to get back from him is more than proof it was AT LEAST intended for Chipotle.
You see, Frank was hired by Chipotle to remake Pure Imagination for a new ad, and then Frank got mad and didn’t do it after he saw the ad ended with the Chipotle logo. That was after Chipotle paid an advance to the tune of $212,500.
We’re not sure why Frank thought he’d have control over something like that, but hey, it’s in the past.
So Chipotle launched a lawsuit at Frank to get back their $212.5k — and that’s when Frank responded with a check for the exact amount, F-bomb included:
The thing is, a Chipotle rep said:
“We├óΓé¼Γäóve seen the photo, but haven├óΓé¼Γäót received a check.”
So they have no idea if it was intended for them or not.
Duh, of course it was. It was made out for the exact amount. Even if it was intended as just a message, not an actual check, it absolutely was for them!
If it was more than just a cheeky message, we wonder how he’ll address the envelope!
