We’re kinda in love with Frank Ocean‘s mom.
On January 1, Frank’s momma Katonya Breaux took to Twitter to BLAST Kim Burrell for her homophobic rant which has recently gone viral. Katonya is especially offended since Kim’s vocals’s appeared on Ocean’s celebrated album Blonde, which is problematic considering the artist is an openly gay man.

Talk about a fierce way to open 2017, right?!
Katonya’s message is out there loud and clear too, as multiple outlets are now spotlighting the matriarch’s message.
Not one to be trifled with, Breaux made a case for Burrell’s vocals to be stripped from the track Godspeed, arguing:

We can’t say we disagree — more celebs need to take a stand against bigotry. We’re so glad Ellen DeGeneres axed the homophobe from her show this past week.
While it’s unlikely Kim will be removed from the track considering the album has already been released, it’s the sentiment that counts, right?
