The French are apparently up in arms over the Christian Lacroix bankruptcy ruling.
According to sources, Industry Minister Christian Estrosi is working his network of French dipomats in the UAE to “alert the sheikh of the urgency of the situation.” Making matters worse, Lacroix also spoke out against the ruling, saying that he doesn’t want to work with the Falic Group on any projects in the future. This means that of the eleven people whose jobs are saved at Lacroix, the designer himself might not be among them.
Yikes!
We have to say, we understand Lacroix’s resistance to the radical changes being proposed, but he isn’t really in much of a position to be making demands. At this point, it’s go Falic or bust, in the truest sense!
