For the first time since Margaret Cho‘s show was canceled in 1994, Asian-Americans will finally have representation on a network TV sitcom.
Fresh Off the Boat is an autobiographical comedy about the boyhood adventures of celebrity chef Eddie Huang. Set in the ’90s, the ABC show features a Taiwanese-American family that leaves Washington D.C. to open up a steakhouse in the far more homogeneous city of Orlando, Florida.
