Sorry, Friends fans, but that much-talked-about reunion is “never” going to happen.
During TheWrap‘s Emmy Series comedy showrunners panel on Wednesday, co-creator David Crane put the nail in the coffin, saying:
“Never happening. Never. We did it! It’s done.”
He claims that’s all for the best. Why?

Because what fans really want is the comfort of knowing Ross and Rachel ended up together:
“That’s why you don’t want to see more of it, because it’s all a happy ending.”
Fellow panelist Rachel Bloom, co-creator and star of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, had to know if Ross and Rachel were still together after all these years — you know, if there were a revival. Crane answered:
“Yes. Come on, they worked really hard, ten years!”
He also sad Monica and Chandler would still be doing fine together. But he stopped short of answering Rachel’s question about where Ross and Rachel’s kid goes to college!
He quipped:
“Now we’re pitching a pilot, and we’re not doing that!”
Ha!
