How awful.
On Monday, Future‘s former bodyguard, Michael Phillips, was gunned down in his Jonesboro, Georgia residence.
According to TMZ, authorities have a few leads, but no suspects in custody yet. They’re hoping interviews with all of Michael’s friends — including the artist — will help them pinpoint the shooter.

On Tuesday, the musician took to Twitter to share his sadness over the tragic loss. He posted:

The police believe Michael’s death was not gang-related. He also lived in an area with low criminal activity.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by his terrible and untimely passing, and we hope the cops can catch his killer soon.
