We were pretty worried ourselves when we heard that Gabby Douglas‘s parents were fighting over the millions of dollars she earned (and will earn) because she’s a badass and people want to sponsor her!
Luckily, nobody has to worry — it’s being all put into a trust fund.
Here’s what the source said:
“Her parents may be separated, but they still want what’s best for Gabby and are not looking to profit out of her. Any money she earns from future endorsements will go towards paying for her college education, as well as be put aside for when she’s finished her studies.
├óΓé¼┼ôAnd people forget, she hasn├óΓé¼Γäót made anything from gymnastics yet; her career in the spotlight has only just begun, and while she has the potential to earn a lot of money in the future the rumored figures are way off target.”
Hmmm, well, we’ve heard a bunch of different estimates, but they’re all pretty high. We DO know that she has the potential to earn crazy amounts.
Anyway, that’s beside the point. We absolutely do think that her parents are feuding after hearing about her dad’s legal issues and being blocked from watching the competitions in London — just maybe not about the money.
