First off, colleges, the girl is 16 — you don’t have to flood her with offers just yet!
Secondly, Gabby, we’re so happy for you that you’re getting all this attention, just don’t forget to be a normal teen!
One of the colleges trying to nab her is one of the most prestigious black universities in the country — Spelman College.
Apparently they’ve even flown to London to try and woo her, by sending the President of Spelman, Beverly Daniel Tatum, with a Spelman gift bag. It had a congratulatory note, school t-shirt and a CD containing a song produced by the college.
Here’s what the school said:
“A young woman who has demonstrated the drive and discipline needed to achieve world-class excellence is likely to have what it takes to be successful at Spelman, and we would welcome her interest in the college.”
Still, we think it’s a little early… and a little rude to interrupt her in London!
