Let them eat cake!
Game of Thrones is one amazing show, and one of its best episodes was the infamous Red Wedding!
Well, tasty goods creators Choccywoccydoodah have baked up something special to commemorate that episode — a red wedding cake!!!
And it looks SO yummy!!!
But just because it looks like it would be so easy to eat, that doesn’t mean that it was easy to make! It took about 20 hours! Which is easy to see when you look at that amazing craftsmanship!
HBO gave the company the go ahead to celebrate its popular show’s Season 3 DVD release!
Here’s what a spokesperson said:
“We were thrilled to be given the opportunity of creating the Red Wedding cake for Game of Thrones. Most of Choccywoccydoodah are avid fans of the series and the idea of creating a cake for this most powerful of all episodes blew us away. We decided to create a slaughtered cake, rather than a red cake, giving us the opportunity to try new techniques, new sculpting methods and new finishes. The daggers, swords and arrows were all created from chocolate, plunged into the cake and chocolate, revealing weeping bloody wounds. “We also included a cracked shield of the two families in the episode; House of Stark and House of Frey, to symbolize the fact they are now at war.”
There’s so much information there, and yet all we can think about is eating that yummy goodness!
Maybe the facts of its creation will seep into us once it’s in our tummy!
Alas — we doubt that cake will ever be ours.
Although we would absolutely (not) kill for it. Do you know that?
