This season of Game Of Thrones is going to be bigger than ever!
And we don’t just mean because they’re finally introducing the giant men of the North! Mmm, that sounds promising…
This season is based on the show creators’ favorite book, A Storm Of Swords, and they’re giving the pages their due, packing the ten-episode season to the hilt! Showrunner David Benioff says:
“A super-sized season, as befitting Storm of Swords. Last year we had a lot of 52-minute episodes. This year is a lot of 56, 57.”
Yeah, but what about MORE episodes? Other showrunner Dan Weiss says:
“There├óΓé¼Γäós almost another full episode├óΓé¼Γäós worth of extra minutes spread across the season. One of the great liberties with HBO is we├óΓé¼Γäóre not forced to come in at a specific time. We can├óΓé¼Γäót be under 50 minutes or over 60, but that gives us a lot of flexibility.”
Nice! This is one super-sized storm we’re actually looking forward to!
