As we’re sure you know, legendary comedian Garry Shandling passed away on Thursday from a reported “massive heart attack.”
We already knew that Garry called 911 and was found unconscious when paramedics arrived at his home, but we didn’t know the actor showed physical signs of concern the night before his death.

While the late actor knew about his health problems, as he opened up to fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld on Comedians In Cars Grabbing Coffee, he apparently had some serious concerns Wednesday night and even made plans to go to the ER.
Sources close Shandling revealed to TMZ that on Wednesday, the actor talked to a doctor friend and said he wasn’t feeling too well. The doctor was obviously concerned and came to check out the creator of The Larry Sanders Show.
Apparently, Garry complained about being achy and short of breath, but didn’t complain about chest pains. The doctor advised the 66-year-old to get checked out at the ER the next day if he wasn’t feeling better and the entertainer was actually planning on going.
Sadly, Garry didn’t make it and fell unconscious during his 911 call and was reported as having a weak pulse at his house before being pronounced dead at St. John‘s Hospital in Santa Monica.
Our hearts go out to all those affected by this tragic passing.
