Awkward…
Gavin Rossdale is speaking out in the media, and he’s sharing something pretty interesting: he was NOT down to divorce his now ex-wife Gwen Stefani when they broke up in 2015!

The 51-year-old Bush frontman opened up this weekend about his much-publicized split from the No Doubt singer, and Rossdale got real about the fact that, well, things didn’t exactly go as planned.
The rock star said of his breakup:
“[Divorce] was completely opposite to what I wanted. Really not├óΓé¼┬ªbut here we are.Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through.”
No kidding on that last part — especially with children! But that fact that it was Rossdale who didn’t want to divorce — or is at least claiming so now — is… interesting? Unexpected? All of the above?
He went on:
“I know we all wish that, but we can’t, so I have to deal with reality. You can’t not have regrets and be human at the same time. … We had 20 years together and that in itself is pretty incredible. It’s a lifetime. I still think she’s incredible. It was a lovely 20 years and we have three amazing children. There were a lot of positives, and with time they’ll become more and more obvious.”
Awww!
At least that’s a positive, in addition to the now former couple’s three children: Kingston (10), Zuma (8), and Apollo (2).
Still, it’s pretty wild Rossdale is coming out so strongly now about how he never wanted a divorce! What do U think about all this, Perezcious readers??
