Two of Gavin Rossdale‘s biggest musical inspirations are his young sons Kingston and Zuma.
While recording his new album with his reunited band Bush, Gavin not only recorded the album at his own Kingston Sound Studios, but their newly-released The Sea of Memories was released on his Zuma Rock Records.
Gavin says that he rarely makes decisions without the fam’s okay:
“I wasn├óΓé¼Γäót really sure about it, and I asked around my house, ‘Is that weird?’ And it was like, ‘No, that├óΓé¼Γäós cool, do it.’ I couldn├óΓé¼Γäót do anything involving them without making a joint decision. I├óΓé¼Γäóve learned some things and that├óΓé¼Γäós one of them!”
The boys are even following in their parents’ musical steps. Gavin says:
“[Kingston] still likes the drums, but he├óΓé¼Γäós into everything now. He├óΓé¼Γäós always busy doing things. We├óΓé¼Γäóre just trying to give them lots of opportunities. Whereas the younger one, he├óΓé¼Γäós got more focus than [Gwen] and I expected.
[Zuma] is really into the guitar. If I├óΓé¼Γäóm playing he├óΓé¼Γäóll come and jam with me ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ he├óΓé¼Γäóll sit with me, it├óΓé¼Γäós really fun. He moves his hands up and down. His positioning and charisma are amazing. He├óΓé¼Γäós so relaxed, looks great and he├óΓé¼Γäós 3!”
