A thousand gold stars for 18-year-old Cody Rogers!
He is still recovering from a brutal beating he received as a reward for he stepping in to defend his 21-year-old female friend at a party.
Cody says that:
“I stepped in and they threw me to the ground — obviously, I├óΓé¼Γäóm a little beat up.”
Um… understatement!! Cody’s assailants screamed gay slurs as they kicked and punched until he lost consciousness!!
Even though party goers are “100 percent [sure] that this was a hate crime” the police records classified this attack as simple assault — because sexual orientation is not protected class in Oklahoma.
This brave teen has started a Facebook page dedicated to changing the law.
