George Clooney Hosting $6 Million Fundraising Dinner For Barack Obama

George Clooney has known Barack Obama since before he became president and has only become a stronger supporter as Obama’s first term progresses.
On top of attending two major Hollywood fundraisers for the president’s re-election campaign earlier this year, the actor is partnering with DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg to host his OWN dinner that aims to raise $6 million!
The extravagant dinner will cost guests $40,000 a plate as they mix and mingle with the most powerful man in the country at Clooney’s El Lay home.
Maybe the actor will even share some more campaign advice with his powerful acquaintance. During an interview on Meet The Press, the Ides of March director said:

“The Democrats are just very poor, in general, at explaining what it is, when they accomplished something. I think they├óΓé¼Γäóre pretty bad at it, and Republicans are very good at it. If I was a Republican, and Obama was a Republican, I would be selling all of the, you know, he saved the auto industry and he got Osama bin Laden. He passed a health care bill that no one could pass — if that was a Republican issue. I would be able to sell his presidency as a very successful one.”

And that’s exactly what Clooney’s doing because 150 Hollywood donors are expected to join him at his house for the lavish event. If we get a a 95% discount, we’ll consider attending too. Ha!
