It’s one thing to miss a friend’s wedding, it’s another to miss a good friend who’s an A-lister’s wedding – everyone’s gonna notice!
George Clooney tied the knot this past weekend to his now wife, Amal Alamuddin, and while it was a lavish celebration, a couple of his close friends weren’t in attendance!

The friends in question? Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck!
Fortunately for these two, they had a pretty solid alibis: they both had to work!
A source dished that Brad and Angelina Jolie were participating in an international movie shoot that required them to put in long hours in order for production costs to stay low. Missing three days for Georgie’s wedding just wasn’t possible!
They said:
“Both of them have worked on movies where this sort of issue has come up and so has George so of course he’ll completely understand and not feel snubbed by them or anything like that. This movie is such a great project for Brad and Angie and they have to stay focused and in the zone.”
Meanwhile, Ben straight up announced that he had prior commitments that weekend!
When asked if the Gone Girl star was going to fly to Italy for his good friend’s nuptials, he said:
“You know, some of us have to work. But yes, I congratulate him. It’s very exciting.”
At least these two both had good excuses!
Maybe they’ll give him a big celebration when they’re all available to par-tay!
Besides, we’re sure George probably had one of the best nights of his life! It was his wedding, after all!
