Freedom was short and sweet for George Zimmerman.
After making $150,000 bail in April, the accused murderer of Trayvon Martin is back behind bars.
The 28-year-old told the judge he was broke during his bail hearing, but authorities have since discovered proof that, thanks to an online fundraiser, he had $135,000 in his bank account the day before.
Prosecutors are accusing him of deceiving the court, so the judge revoked his bond and ordered that he turn himself in by Sunday afternoon. The shooter of the 17-year-old boy made it back into custody in the nick of time and arrived just 40 minutes before his deadline to surrender.
While prosecutor Bernie De la Rionda believes Zimmerman blatantly lied about his finances, defense attorney Mark O’Mara swears this is all just one big misunderstanding and his client will be able to explain himself in front of the judge.
