If you were looking forward to seeing DMX smash George Zimmerman’s face in the boxing ring, you’re about to be bummed out.
The promoter of the event, Damon Feldman, called everything off on Twitter over the weekend after getting TONS of backlash. He tweeted some things about why he made the choice, like:
“Just looked at my son and daughter today wow I’m so lucky those people must be in so much pain … all you people are right.”
He talked about the choice to cancel the event, tweeting:
Done with George Zimmerman if you had a major payday sitting in front of you , I know no one else would walk away like I did ***Next!!

There you have it folks! If you need more deets though, Damon fully intends to give them. He tweeted the same thing five times, using different punctuation, saying:
“I will address everything at Press Conference this Tuesday if you are with the Media Direct mail info for Press release”
Tuesday. It’s a date!
And in the meantime, he’s still trying to get that Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher fight going:
