Georgetown Getting Cupcake ATM!

Okay, so is it REALLY that more convenient to get a cupcake out of a machine instead of going into the bakery??
Yep! Especially at, say, 2am!
Georgetown is getting a Sprinkles Cupcake ATM — one that runs 24 hours a day!
Candace Nelson was pregnant when the idea for cupcake vending machines hit her:

“All I wanted at the time was cupcakes, but nothing was open at that hour. I thought ‘I own a cupcake shop and I can’t even get my hands on one. Just think of all of those pregnant women out there who would love a cupcake vending machine.’”

We’re not sure how you can own a cupcake shop and still want to eat cupcakes ever again, regardless of being preggers!
Even more ridiculous is the fact that the machines cost $100,000 a piece, and there are plans for 9 cities to get them.
That means they have to sell 25,000 cupcakes before they’re profitable.
So far, the Beverly Hills machine (the O.G. machine) dispenses some 1,000 cupcakes per day.
We get the feeling that the novelty of it will wear off, though.
